Kitchen fire in Hillsboro, OR

This fire is the result of a homeowner cooking oil in a pan. The oil spilled over the side of the pan and caused extensive smoke and fire damage. This home is a 2 story building and the smoke damage affected the entire home. While the fire was contained to just the kitchen as we walked around there was soot on the walls in the upstairs bedrooms, toys, and even fixtures. When cooking with oil and grease you want to make sure you keep an eye on it. If it begins to smoke it is too hot and cause severe burns or even a kitchen fire!
